The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is very excited to announce the participation of Ecliptic Brewing of Portland, OR in the 2016 EOBF. Under the leadership of legendary Brewer John Harris, Ecliptic Brewing unites John’s two passions: brewing and astronomy. Always pushing the limits of creativity in the brewhouse, Ecliptic Brewing’s North Portland brewpub has quickly become a mainstay in the Portland brewing scene, creating a sense of place in both the restaurant and the beer they have built. The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is freaking stoked to welcome Comrade Brewing Co. of Denver CO to the 2016 EOBF. Under the leadership of Chairman David Lin and Supreme Commander Marks Lanham, Comrade Brewing has quickly become one of Colorado’s leading breweries. Their Superpower IPA is widely considered Colorado’s (and one of the country’s) best IPAs, and they recently won a Gold Medal at the World Beer Cup for Yellow Fever Chile Beer. Welkome to the Party!!
The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is pleased to announce the participation of Hop Valley Brewing Co. of Eugene, OR in the 2016 EOBF. Hop Valley’s original brewpub and restaurant was built on land that once was the epicenter of the hop-growing world. Their new production facility has allowed for widespread distribution of their award-winning beers, including DD Blonde and Citrus Mistress IPA.

Brewmaster Ian Larkin has produces a wide array of interesting and tasty styles, including 2015 Great American Beer Festival medal winners Volkssekt Berliner Weisse and Black Diamond Dark Lager. Under the leadership of Brewmaster Matt Cole and Head Brewer Michael Hunsaker, Fat Head’s brews a diverse portfolio of tasty beers, including Hop Juju Imperial IPA, Gold Medal winner at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival. Speaking of awards, Fat Heads won 4 Gold Medals at the 2015 GABF! Oh yeah-their Wings are to die for! Chill out man, have a beer!
The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is pleased to announce the participation of Buoy Beer Company of Astoria, OR in the 2016 EOBF. Since their opening in 2014, Buoy Beer has become a destination stop for traveling beer aficionados. Buoy’s tasting room located on the banks of the Columbia River is one of the most scenic places to enjoy a beer in the Pacific Northwest. Along with a variety of PNW inspired ales, Buoy brews a variety of traditional European Lagers, including a Czech Pils and local favorite Dunkel. The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is pleased to announce the participation of Salem Ale Works of Salem, OR in the 2016 EOBF. Founded by two college friends and former wildland firefighters, Justin Ego and Jake Bonham, their shared experiences and love of great craft beer gave rise to the formation of a nano-brewery in 2013. Salem Ale Works honor the rich history of Salem, striving to have fun while passionately writing the latest chapter in our capital’s brewing legacy. Tonya Cornett and Shawn “Big Daddy” Kelso are two of America’s most respected brewers, producing award winning beers like Cucumber Crush and German Sparkle Party. Their pubs in Bend, Portland and Boise are all local favorites.

They are a small, seven barrel brewery offering a minimum of 15 all-natural, finely-crafted micros at any given time. Only in operation for three years, they offer a wide variety, from IPAs to Dunkels, Hefeweizens to stouts and beyond, and has quickly become a local’s favorite. The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is pleased to announce the participation of Laht Neppur Brewing Company of Waitsburg, WA in the 2016 EOBF. Clan Chief Court Ruppenthal recently opened a production brewery in Milton Freewater, increasing access for Oregon beer drinkers to Laht Neppur’s tasty products, including Strawberry Cream Ale and Peach Hefeweizen.
The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is super-stoked to announce the participation of Hair of the Dog Brewing of Portland, OR in the 2016 EOBF. Under the leadership of Top Dog Alan Sprints, Hair of Dog is proud to be one of the first breweries in America specializing in the production of high alcohol, bottle conditioned beers as well as experimenting with the barrel aging process since 1994. Currently, the brewery has 180 oak barrels used to age Beer from 6 months to 8 years, lending character and complexity to Alan’s creative and original beer offerings. Their tasting room in the Eastside Industrial District features a panoramic view of downtown Portland and is on the bucket list of every traveling beer aficionado.
The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is extremely excited to announce the participation of Cascade Brewing Barrel House of Portland, OR in this year’s EOBF. Under the leadership of Art Larrance, one of the founding fathers of the Oregon craft beer movement, and Brewmaster Ron Gansburg, Cascade is a pioneer of the Northwest style sour beer movement. Cascade’s blending house currently houses more than 1,400 French oak, Kentucky Bourbon and Northwest wine barrels, plus nine foudres, filled with wheats, blonds, quads, reds, browns and porters that are aged and blended into magical elixirs, including Vlad the Imp Aler and Bourbonic Plague.

The Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is pleased to announce the participation of Eastern Oregon’s newest brewery, Steens Mountain Brewing Company in Burns, OR in the 2016 EOBF. Owner-Brewer Rick Ray’s small family-owned local craft brewery pays tribute to the history and culture of Harney County using local wild hops in beers like Lone Pine American Ale and Outhouse Oatmeal Stout.
