The most recent variation of our celebrated imperial stout honors the culinary character of the Hawaiian Islands by combining the lush sweetness of coconut with vanilla and Ka’u coffee. Named after the region of Hawaii from which it hails, Ka’u is produced from some of the world’s rarest coffee beans. Gimme Mo (IBU: 50 ABV: 6.2%) – This is not just another IPA – consider it a next-generation IPA. A slightly sweet, lower ABV IPA providing welcome relief from the onslaught of bitter hop bombs out there. Its complex, aromatic layers suggest mango, melon, pine and berries are driven by whole-leaf Mosaic and Citra hops which are then balanced by an acidulated and pilsner malt bill. Finally, its silky-smooth mouthfeel will leave you asking for “mo!” [4oz. sample – 1 token / 8oz. full-pour – 2 tokens]
Crux Farmhouse (IBU: 25 ABV: 6.6%) – Farmhouse ales originated in the French region of Belgium and offered refreshing relief to seasonal farmworkers (“saisonniers”) from the summer heat. When they set out to brew their saison, Crux was intent on paying homage to this heritage while giving it a unique twist. Fermentation coaxes out peppery, herbal and slightly tart attributes, and releases slightly smoky, earthy esters, while a touch of acidulated malt and wheat lends the perfect complement, resulting in a refreshing palate pleaser, regardless of the season. Hop Lion IPA – (IBU: 65 ABV: 6.7%) – Tropic resin, tangerine, and the earthy scent of Northwest petrichor leap from the nose of this proud IPA. Tangelo and fresh bread stalk closely behind, finishing with orange and dank pine. [4oz. sample – 1 token / 8oz. full-pour – 2 tokens]
Kolsch – (IBU: 40 ABV: 5.2%) – This unfiltered ale features a unique yeast strain, providing restrained fruited aromas to complement the rounded malt quality; with a touch more hop character than its counterpart in Cologne. Crisp, dry, and highly refreshing. [4oz. sample – 1 token / 8oz. full-pour – 2 tokens]
Dry Cider – (IBU: 0 ABV: 6.7%) – For their first try at cider, Double Mountain kept it simple and local. Newtons and old world cider apples from the Double Mountain Orchard were pressed and fermented on their house strain. The cider was given plenty of time to dry out and develop wondrous aromas of juicy pear, lychee, green fruit, and chamomile. It finishes tart, crisp, dry and quenching.
